FAQs
What exactly is the EcoCore FCD and where is it used?
How much cooling capacity can one FCD unit deliver?
Each FCD module supports between 2,000 kW and 4,000 kW of heat rejection, enabling it to support dense computing loads and facility-scale deployments.
How does the EcoCore FCD manage leaks and reliability concerns?
The FCD offers two configurations for different facility requirements. The parallel pump (Active-Active) configuration delivers high-pressure, high-flow operation for maximum AI workload performance, with integrated filtration for loop integrity. The LPS (Leak Prevention System) configuration uses Nautilus’s patented vacuum-sealed, closed-loop design for environments where leak risk is a primary concern. Both include N+1 redundancy and comprehensive monitoring.
Is EcoCore FCD compatible with my facilityโs cooling and water systems?
Yes. The FCD is water-source agnostic, designed to support freshwater, saltwater, graywater, or industrial water sources. It works alongside direct-to-chip, immersion, rear-door, hot-aisle, or other cooling architectures.
What are the technical specs: connections, flow, controls, and footprint?
The FCD supports a maximum TCS flow of 80 L/s (1,268 GPM) in dual pump mode, or 60 L/s (951 GPM) in single pump mode, with a TCS external pressure head of 2.7 bar [39 PSI] and total available head up to 6 bar [87 PSI]. It uses 150 mm (6 inch) SS316 sanitary connections for both primary and secondary circuits. Approach temperature difference (ATD) is 2ยฐC (3.6ยฐF). For controls, it supports Modbus, OPC UA, SNMP, and Redfish protocols, and comes with built-in sensors, a local and remote HMI, and modular filtration options.
