Liquid-cooling leader brings 12+ years of thermal design experience and 20+ patents to Nautilus' engineering team

SAN RAMON, Calif. โ€“ October 28, 2026 โ€” Nautilus Data Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in sustainable, high-performance liquid cooling infrastructure for data centers, today announced the addition of Jeshwanth Kundem as Principal Product Engineer. Kundem brings more than 12 years of mechanical and thermal design experience for mission-critical and AI/ML data center infrastructure, with deep expertise in thermal technologies and Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs).

Kundem most recently joined Nautilus from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led the deployment of liquid-cooling infrastructure across new AI data centers. Before AWS, he led product architecture and development at nVent for two high-volume CDUs, Sidecar and Brazos.

โ€œJeshwanth has designed liquid-cooling products for the world's largest hyperscalers and then deployed them at scale. Very few engineers have done both,โ€ said Chris Hardinger, Chief Technology Officer of Nautilus Data Technologies. โ€œHis depth in thermal design and CDU architecture is already making a difference across our key initiatives, and he will play a central role as we scale EcoCoreยฎ to meet the needs of next-generation AI deployments.โ€

Kundem also holds more than 20 patents and has authored four research journal publications. He participates in ASHRAE TC 9.9 and Open Compute Project (OCP) and has reviewed more than 25 conference papers for ASHRAE and IEEE. He directly contributed to ASHRAEโ€™s yearly handbook for Mission Critical Applications to be released in 2027. He recently joined the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business grant reviewer team and serves on the advisory board of Purdue University's College of Science.

"Iโ€™m thrilled by the opportunity to join Nautilus because building the foundation for the next generation of AI shouldnโ€™t come at the cost of our planetโ€™s future. AI has the power to solve some of humanity's greatest challenges, but only if the infrastructure supporting it is engineered for extreme efficiency and long-term sustainability. Nautilus is designing that infrastructure today, with green, energy-efficient architecture that lets AI grow responsibly.โ€
